  • Airman participates in panel discussion for Women's History Month

    U.S. Air Force Senior Master Sgt. Tamara Gonzales, a First Sergeant with the 121st Air Refueling Wing, Ohio National Guard, participated in a Veterans panel discussion for women Mar. 10, 2017 at the Ohio History Center in Columbus, Ohio. The discussion was sponsored by the Ohio Department of Veterans Services in honor of Women's History Month. Gonzales currently resides in Columbus, Ohio and has served in the military for 24 years. In addition to the Ohio Air National Guard, she also served for five years in the U.S. Army Reserve.
  • 121st ARW participates in Emerald Warrior 17

    Airmen with the 121st Air Refueling Wing, Ohio Air National Guard participated with more than 1500 military personnel and contractors in Emerald Warrior 17 based out of Hurlburt Field, Fla. Feb. 27, 2017 through March 10, 2017. Emerald Warrior is a U.S. Special Operations Command exercise during which joint special operations forces train to respond to various threats across the spectrum of conflict.

    Operation Homefront, a national nonprofit serving America’s military families, named Molly Frey, a senior at Pickerington North High School, its 2017 National Guard Military Child of the Year. Frey, who competed with nearly 400 applicants, will receive $10,000 and a flight for her and a family member to Washington, D.C., for an awards gala. Frey is the daughter of Senior Master Sgt. Renee Frey, Ohio National Guard Joint Force Headquarters human resources office management analyst, and retired Senior Master Sgt. Kim Frey, 121st Air Refueling Wing public affairs superintendent.

    U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Thomas Norris, 121st Air Refueling Wing Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Commander, was awarded the 2017 Lt. Gen. Leo Marquez Award of Maintenance Excellence for field grade officers for the Air National Guard on Jan. 11, 2017.
